Avery Bean

So we celebrated Avery's bday this past Sunday with mom/dad and Great Grandma Alice.  It was so fun.  Mom/dad gave the kids a red viper.  Kendall and Avery love it!

On Monday I took Avery to get her shots. She was a trooper and did great. She is now 33.5 inches tall and weighs 27 lbs.  She is as cute as a button!  I love her genuine happiness. She is almost never sad or grumpy.  She wakes up every day with a smile on her face.  She has the BEST. LAUGH. EVER. and is super ticklish.  She copies everything that Kendall does.  She loves to jump out of behind doors and exclaim "Here I am!"  She as mastered saying she is now "two."  She is our little bean and we love her so much.

Tell Me If You Can

Thanksgiving 2012

We've taken tons of great videos lately.  Here is one of Avery reading.

The girls all dressed up for Thanksgiving Day feast with projects from school.
Gma and Gpa surprised us with a edible arrangement. The apples were particularly good.

Avery made the big move this weekend!  She did great and took right to her new big girl bed.
Kendall had fun reminiscing - she looks so old!

My birthday present from Aaron was a Hoosier cabinet - so named because the design came from the great state of Indiana.  Mom and dad found it at a local antique store (while I was with them and helped to hatch the whole scheme) and subsequently convinced Aaron to 'surprise' me with it. We had to move some furniture to make it fit, but I love it!

Here we are about to embark on our now annual Turkey Trot the morning of Thanksgiving.  I was only going to take the girls if they were up that early - low and behold they were, so they came along.  Kendall ran a large part of what was suppose to be the mile walk/fun run.

Parents Night Out

A romp through the leaves.

Portrait by Kendall.
Using the dolphins as phones.
Avery's eye teeth are finally coming in...slowly.
For my birthday, I surprised Aaron with a parents weekend to Savannah.  He was shocked and after about 30 minutes settled into the idea.  Mom and Dad took a priceless picture of the reveal.

We made a trip to Ladies and Sons while we were there.  Yummo!
We made it 8 bars into a pub crawl.  It was fun, but I learned just how old I really am.
Mom and dad watched the girls, but we celebrated upon our return.
The girls picked out the cake themselves and were very proud.

Fall Festivities

We celebrated Halloween with the fall festival at daycare. Here is Avery doing the ring toss.
 Ms. Brittany - Avery's teacher.

The next morning we kept it rolling by carving pumpkins. Avery really got into pulling out the insides...Kendall just kept saying "Ewww!"

Then we went to the Oktoberfest parade where the girls got lots of candy!

Can't wait to take Kendall to see the Little Mermaid at the Village Square Theater.

Then Sunday we celebrated Nate's 2nd Birthday with a trip to the park.
Avery literally had frosting in her nose.

And some of my more recent handy work - finally found a use for all those old concert t-shirts!  Too bad this thing will never see the light of day and stay hidden under our duvet.

White Wedding

This fall has been busy. We recently made it back to Michigan to see my sister Erin get married!

We survived the trip there after having to replace the carseat in the rental just as fast as it was installed after Avery got sick.  Turns out that I think she had a touch of motion sickness of something.  She was a trooper through it all!

Friday night we bowled for the rehearsal.  Despite the parking ticket the pizza and beer hit the spot.
After an early morning Saturday to decorate the venue we took some time to get all gussied up.  It was the first - and probably - the last time I will ever wear false eye lashes.

We had a great time visiting with family and friends at the reception sans kids.  Poor Kendall never even saw the dance floor...I'm glad she'll never know what she missed.  She would have given everyone a run for their money with that little booty shake.

These pictures really don't do the event justice, but I wasn't too concerned with getting pictures at the time.  Besides we previewed some of the photographers and they are sure to be great. Will try to remember to post them once they come in.  Congrats Erin and Mike - welcome to married life!
