Dance and Soccer

We have had a busy spring! Kendall joined the competition dance team at Stepping Out. We have invested a lot of money and time getting the hair and make up just right, but she is having fun and it has been a good experience - taking us both outside our comfort zones.

We also registered both girls in YMCA youth soccer. Kendall loves it - Avery not so much.

Get to the Green

A great belated birthday present from my old pal Valerie. I love it and got it just in time for St Pats.

No St Patrick's Day would be complete without our regular trip to 5 points. For something like 5 years we have been going to the annual Get to the Green event to celebrate. We start with a run/walk and then head to an Irish pub for libations and chili cheese fries! This year it rained (only the second time we remember), but we didn't let that dampen our spirits. We were a few people short this year, by mom, dad, Kendall, and I couldn't resist.

We made it to Delaney's - we were wet, but we made it!
 Our reward!

We also hosted Great Grandpa Wayne and Grammy for a few days. We played lots of Old Maid!

We even got to celebrate Great Grandpa's Birthday with dinner on the back porch and cupcakes!

Kendall turns 6

For Kendall's 6th birthday we went bowling. We invited her friends and ours and had a great time. We even sprang for a barbie birthday cake. A great time was had by all!

Here is Kendall with the girls' babysitter - Ms. Patti. We love her. She started watching the girls when Avery was just one. Now she is part of the family.

We took Kendall to her doctor's appointment several weeks later. She is still in the 90-something % for height and weight. She has slimmed down some. She is 70 pounds and just over 4 feet tall. She is smart as can be. Even the Doctor was shocked that she is reading as well as she is. She love her a chapter book and reads almost every night. I don't know where she gets it, but I love it! She is currently reading book 20 in the Jack and Annie - Magic Tree House series. I can't believe my baby is 6!
