Fall Festivities

We celebrated Halloween with the fall festival at daycare. Here is Avery doing the ring toss.
 Ms. Brittany - Avery's teacher.

The next morning we kept it rolling by carving pumpkins. Avery really got into pulling out the insides...Kendall just kept saying "Ewww!"

Then we went to the Oktoberfest parade where the girls got lots of candy!

Can't wait to take Kendall to see the Little Mermaid at the Village Square Theater.

Then Sunday we celebrated Nate's 2nd Birthday with a trip to the park.
Avery literally had frosting in her nose.

And some of my more recent handy work - finally found a use for all those old concert t-shirts!  Too bad this thing will never see the light of day and stay hidden under our duvet.

White Wedding

This fall has been busy. We recently made it back to Michigan to see my sister Erin get married!

We survived the trip there after having to replace the carseat in the rental just as fast as it was installed after Avery got sick.  Turns out that I think she had a touch of motion sickness of something.  She was a trooper through it all!

Friday night we bowled for the rehearsal.  Despite the parking ticket the pizza and beer hit the spot.
After an early morning Saturday to decorate the venue we took some time to get all gussied up.  It was the first - and probably - the last time I will ever wear false eye lashes.

We had a great time visiting with family and friends at the reception sans kids.  Poor Kendall never even saw the dance floor...I'm glad she'll never know what she missed.  She would have given everyone a run for their money with that little booty shake.

These pictures really don't do the event justice, but I wasn't too concerned with getting pictures at the time.  Besides we previewed some of the photographers and they are sure to be great. Will try to remember to post them once they come in.  Congrats Erin and Mike - welcome to married life!

All Aboard!

New favorite past time: Kendall picking "berries" in the yard for her pies.
 As always reading.
It is a bit hard to make out, but Kendall is drawing a picture of herself...notice the legs and arm coming straight out of the head.  Above is a sunshine.
In preparation for Aunt E's wedding, we took the girls to get haircuts.  It was Avery's first!
Here they both are getting their prize afterwards.
Next we headed out to Sandhills shopping center to ride the train.
He we are boarding.  You'll notice that the conductor is Ms Patti - the girl's babysitter.  She comes to see them almost weekly so that daddy and I can have a date night.  God Bless Her!
And, of course, what would a great fall day be without a trip to the park. Kendall road her bike all the way there - and, almost the whole way back.
I love this shirt!  At first Kendall wouldn't wear it because it was brown.  But, who could resist for too long - got to love some mac and cheese with a positive message!
