Summer Loving

Happy Fathers Day - We love you!
Finally got around to painting the rest of the bird house.

 Sisters.

Fourth of July Peach Festival Parade.
Capped off with fire works at the Blowfish game. (Kendall still hates fireworks. She literally buried her face in Aaron's chest the whole time...exclaiming, "I know they are beautiful, but I just don't want to look."
Our first time fishing...with princess fishing poles.

Avery wasn't too interested in fishing.

The Red Bud tree that friends bought us when Gpa Bruce passed away - doing great.
Also finally put the curtain up in the puppet show (made from the viper car box).

Sprinkler fun!

All in a Day's Work

We recently attended Lexington's Kids day.  It was suppose to be raining, but the weather held out and we had a great time.
 Kendall decorating a hat.
 Avery modeling the hat.
 The jump house.
We ran into Ms. Kimberly - Avery's 'exercise' class teacher.

The girls loved holding the bunnies.  Might be a nice first pet! (Not sure what Avery is pouting about).
The garden coming along nicely.  Already grown about twice this size of what's pictured here. We have had several nice salads and the tomatoes are on the way.  We were all sad to see that something/one had gotten the strawberry plant - right before the first strawberry was ready to be picked.
For mother's day, we bought a new sink - a much deeper one.  Dad graciously agreed to install it. Since today was my day off, they headed over after their dentist appointments and the work began.
We went from the standard 7/8 inches to 9.5. A big improvement!
Mom helps to hold the flashlight.

 The finished product...looks great!

A Walk in the Park

This morning we headed to Congaree National Park with Gma and Gpa. While there we had a scavenger hunt to see what we could find.  Do you see what we see?

We even spotted some wildlife along the way!

Raise the Roof

So we blew virtually our whole tax return on a new roof - YAY! Not really what we had in mind, but I guess that's what comes with being responsible adults.
 Old.
 New.
Gma Rose accompanied us to Disney's Princesses on Ice. Here we are all dressed up and ready to go.
Curtsy my lady. (I think we should sell this to the Colonial Life Arena to use in marketing events)

 Tiana and the Frog Prince.
 Cinderella.
 Tangled.
 This was so cool!

And all the prince and princesses for the grand finale!
On the way out we tried to snap this shot representative of the Great Palmetto State. You can barely see the  moon in the far left corner of the shot, but this is the emblem on the state flag.
And what better way to spend a Sunday then painting on the back deck.
