pterodactyls

So, Aaron came home today after work to see a pterodactyl in our back yard! That's right, just as he pulled into our drive way he spied a huge bird in our backyard - visible through the open back yard gate. Of course he scared it away, but this is what it left in its wake.



Aaron says he thinks it was about a foot tall and by the look of the molting pile I would wager to guess that whatever it was...it was likely nursing itself from some kind of wound.

This is the pile of feathers it left in our backyard. Pretty cool - although we have no idea what it was...thinking maybe some kind of hawk.
