xmas 2011 and a new year

Avery caught an ear infection right before leaving so I was worried about the flight.  Here are Avery and I in the Columbia airport waiting to board.  Avery was a total trooper during the flights to Michigan.  We barely made the connection in Charlotte, but everyone commented after the flight that she was awesome!

Upon arriving in Coldwater we stopped for dinner at the Garden and Kendall got to see Santa.

By far one of her favorite presents was this Snow White dress from Grammy. 

Kendall and Aaron went to Michigan a week ahead of Avery and I and hung out with the Masons.  It was a great opportunity for some quality time.  She did great during the few weeks in Michigan, but we did decide it was probably a bit too long for her.  A few times she told Aaron and I she missed her "books and toys" and she was "ready to go home."

She loved Grandpa Great's toys.

Christmas morning Avery and I were up a few minutes ahead of everyone else. 

Another favorite present was Candyland.

Playing waitress at the Mason family Christmas.  It was so nice to have everyone together...it was the first time we have been able to do this in at least a couple years. 

Sledding at mom and dad's new condo.  Uncle Mike has a great video on their blog here.  She sang "Jingle Bells" the entire way down the hill.  So cute!

We had a great time visiting family.  It was nice to head back home. Avery got sick on the way home and caused us to have to pull over at a truck stop.  Gpa Bob gets the award for cleaning out the car seat.  All in all it was great. Thanks to everyone for all the gifts and time spent with one another.
