Where the middle of nowhere is somewhere

After the wedding we headed back down state a bit to Grayling where we rented a VRBO cabin for the whole crew. We arrived there first and got busy exploring.
We got minnows in the Au Sauble River - right in our own backyard.

We also put the girls to work cleaning the chairs - preparing for the night's bonfire.
Shortly after lunch the rest of the gang arrived.
After settling in, we spent the next day with a pilgrimage to the Mighty Mac!
And we certainly couldn't forget CASTLE ROCK!

Taking a break half way up.

We headed into Saint Ignace to visit a local park for our picnic lunch.

 The Denja tribe.
 Photo bomb by Avery!
We tried to dye our hair with kool aid.
 We put together puzzles.
Out of all of us, guess who couldn't unplug!
We colored rocks too - just like we did when we were kids.
Next stop...good ol' Mt Pleasant to see the Masons and baby Jack.

We got to feed Aunt Terrie's oriole with grape jelly.

And...we even spotted a doe in their backyard. She let us all get really close.

We spend the night at the Soaring Eagle casino's new in-door waterpark. The next day we stopped at Pixie for lunch on the way out of town. We saw some really cool wind farms!

Next stop was Sturgis to see Great Grandma Alice.

We had a very nice visit, but sadly had to say goodbye.
