Pigeon Forge Fun

So we spent this Memorial Day weekend in Pigeon Forge with Grammie and Gpa Rick. We arrived late Friday and got up Saturday to go for a hike. The girls had a blast! Clearly Kendall is a nature lover and we need to get her out in the woods more often. We spotted all sorts of cool things.

There was also a river that ran through this picnic area in Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the girls had a great time exploring. I even got in on the action.

Kendall found this cool rock slide and Gpa Rick was there to catch her at the bottom.
After our outdoor adventures we went to the Dixie Stampede for dinner. It was a nice time. The next morning we happened to hear the old familiar sound of the ice cream truck so we decided to splurge (notice the pjs are still on).
On Sunday we went swimming and visited some of the local amusement attractions to ride some rides.

Both the girls actually went on a lot of rides - even the Ferris Wheel and the small roller coaster.

We had such a good time at the park we decided to head back for picnic dinner Sunday night.
We capped off a great vacation with putt putt golf and pancake/buffet breakfast out the next morning before heading back home. It was a great long weekend. We definitely plan to head back with the pop up for more fun and exploring!
